Careers at Maplefields Academy (Informing Futures)
Careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) is an essential part of the support we offer to students at Maplefields Academy.
Effective careers support is vital to our young people, and alongside learning life skills that will help them prepare for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life. We aim to give our students the essential skills and opportunities through concrete experiences, motivating them to make decisions confidently to inform their futures. As a result, the careers programme has a whole-school remit designed to complement the rest of the school curriculum. (For more information about the curriculum, please CLICK HERE)
At Maplefields Academy, we use the Compass+ tool to measure our provision in careers, information, advice and guidance against the Gatsby Benchmarks. We are incredibly proud to say we are meeting all 8 benchmarks 100% - more information on this can be found further down the page.
We are also working towards meeting the Quality in Careers Standard that recognises excellence in careers, employability and enterprise in key stage 3, 4 and 5.
