As many parents and carers will know, Tower Hill road, the long section of uphill road that approaches the school, is not gritted during winter weather. This section of road becomes extremely slippery in all icy conditions. With the frozen ground, followed by the snowfall the road remains very slippery in places.  With freezing temperatures expected overnight and the road still covered in snow we have  to expect that the road will again be treacherous in the morning. 

With safety as our first priority we therefore have to close the school again tomorrow and reassess the situation for Wednesday. The staff will continue to support the online learning and where possible they will deliver live lessons.
