Watching the Weather

As the weather turns colder and the news headlines warn of freezing conditions we wanted to take this opportunity to be clear about what we will do if we need to notify you regarding changes to the school day.

If we have snow or other extreme conditions the Headteacher will contact her local employees to assess the conditions at school. We also look at local news, traffic and weather reports to see if we can safely keep the school open for a normal school day. If we do decide that it is not safe to open or if the weather has caused problems on site we will use the school website as our first method of contact. The scrolling banner at the top of the page will give a clear message and further details will be added to the 'latest news' page.

We will also send text messages and an email to all parents using the contact you have supplied (Please do remember to let the school office know if your contact details require updating)

The school website will give ongoing updates about the situation.
