Fri 24 Apr 2020Dear Parents and Carers,
I just wanted to get in touch and let you know we are still here to support all our families.
School was closed over the Easter break as we didn’t have any Key Worker children who needed to come in. We have re-opened this week with very small numbers of children attending. The school office is open from 9:00am and should find it easy to get through between 10:00am and 2:00pm every day.
We are all still able to access out school emails and you can try any of the following it you need to speak to someone:

If you can’t get in touch via the office phone line or the email addresses you can try the following emergency numbers: 07715 655975 or 01536 424093 ( These numbers are not always accessible but we are doing our best to make sure you can get through to us)

Story Time

I am very pleased to report that the next installments of George's Marvellous Medicine , as read by Mr McQueen have been uploaded to the video section of the website.

Free School Meals
Fri 03 Apr 2020Free School Meals:
We have sent out two rounds of vouchers to all of our families who are eligible for Free School Meals. You should have already received a voucher code via an email for the value of £23. Covering the last ten days.
We have sent out the second round of these vouchers yesterday which will arrive within the next 24hr. This will be for another £23 to help support families over the Easter break.
If you haven’t received these vouchers or require any support accessing the codes please email Maplefields.accounts@maplefields.northants.sch.uk
There will be someone in the office next week who will be in touch.

A warning for Families re: Free School Meals
Wed 01 Apr 2020A warning: We have been alerted by the local authority. There appears to be a scam going around where an email is sent to parents /carers asking for bank details to process Free School meal vouchers. This is not genuine! No-one should be asking for bank details for this reason.
There has been a new national voucher scheme announced yesterday and we are working hard to get this in place as soon as possible.

We know that it’s been quite a stressful time for our school community over these last few weeks. We’ve been working hard to keep the children safe and sending out links for some school work to keep you busy.
Today we’re going to focus on adding a little ‘lightness’ to the mix. We will try to add some useful links for keep safe and well over the coming days but also some things just to make you smile!

Further Information about the school Closure
Fri 20 Mar 2020There has been additional detail added to the Gov.uk website overnight. It helps to clarify the position around schools and who can be considered part of the 'Key Worker' group.

School Closure
Thu 19 Mar 2020IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Please click here to read the letter from Miss Walker regarding the school closure from Friday 20th March 2020. It is very important that parents who are key workers read this letter and reply to school before 1:00pm tomorrow.
The school will not be open for the majority of students on Monday. Please see the letter for details.

Supporting Learning at Home
Wed 18 Mar 2020As the situation across the country develops further, we know increasing numbers of children will be away from school. In order to support families we are adding resources, ideas and other materials to our school website.
We know your priority will be to keep safe and follow the government advice. However, if you do want to find support for learning at home please check out the website.

Tue 17 Mar 2020We are working hard to be prepared for whatever the next few weeks will have in store. It's difficult to know what the next steps for our country will include. Part of our planning at school involves making sure we can contact families in as many ways as possible.
